Challenge

LifeArc is one of the UK’s most important life science charities, funding state-of-the-art research into drug discovery and medical diagnostics. It wanted to consider how D&I could play a role in its research work as well as improve its internal culture.

Action

Working directly with LifeArc’s executive team, members of its senior leadership group and head of culture and change, we helped the charity on its journey to strategically reframing inclusion as an enabler of good research and employee engagement approach.

Impact

D&I is now a critical part of LifeArc’s organisational and cultural strategy, and will be considered in medical investment decisions. This stance will ultimately have a profound impact on medical outcomes.

Testimonial

“Having researched various different partners to work with to support our thinking on our inclusion and diversity strategy we chose to work with Included – valuing their perspective and strategic approach.

We have run two workshops with Stephen Frost for our executive and senior leadership team and intend on engaging our trustees this year. As a result, inclusion and diversity sits at the heart of our culture journey and we are further developing a strategy and vision for how this will evolve over the next few years, recognising the positive impact this will have on all aspects of our employee experience, as well as our medical research and investment decisions.”
